The 1.0 version of StoryAlign is out. The tool overlays an audiobook onto an epub to create a narrated (read-aloud) #ebook, perfect for switching between reading & listening. This update adds a granularity option, many fixes, and moves the repo to Codeberg.

The freakout about the Zohran government possibly opening some groceries store in food deserts is fascinating because the simplest way for capital to route around it would be for businesses just open up there and obviate the need but they appear unwilling/uninterested in doing so, so govt steps in.

Given this administration’s actions in the Eric Adams case, it would seem to me that New Yorkers would want a mayor that’s not corruptible. I am not a New Yorker, but if I were, I would not rank Cuomo.

So basically the protests were peaceful except that two competing cop departments accidentally went to war with each other
Many of the LA Sheriffs didn't have their gas masks on yet so the Sheriffs got gassed by LAPD
LAPD was on the radio crying about getting shot by rubber bullets by the sheriffs, so I'd say fair trade
Typical level of professional policing for Los Angeles. Waiting for CHP to join the fun.
