This, in a nutshell, is one my main concerns about M4A.

Like he ran the worst campaign and got endorsed by the worst people AND HE’S A SEX PEST WHO RESIGNED IN DISGRACE FROM AN EVEN HIGHER OFFICE. RECENTLY! THE CURRENT GOVERNOR OF THE STATE IS LITERALLY THERE BECAUSE OF HOW BAD HE IS

and the entire establishment was like “oh yeah this is our guy”

We have govt healthcare too. The bottom 3rd of incomes in CA (roughly twice the population of Denmark) have everything in M4A. It does nothing for them but them at risk. The big reason other countries can have nice things is they have parliaments. As for free basic, that's not what the M4A bill is.

Most other countries aren't comparable to ours in the level of opposition to government supported healthcare. Even so, many other countries are multi-payer systems. Obamacare is largely modeled after The Netherlands system, which is rated second best in the world by the latest mirror-mirror report

Right. But Alex Azar was bad too. That's why a multifaceted overly redundant system like we have now is much better for *us* than M4A, which gives 'The Secretary' near dictatorial power over everyone's healthcare. We actually need more payers, not less.

I wish we'd stop even using the term 'trickle-down'. It legitimizes the notion that anybody ever had the intent for the money to trickle down. It was *always* a con. They *always* knew nothing would trickle down. The *goal* was inequality.

Switching to *all* public healthcare would give RFK Jr. even more power to decimate our public health than he already has. Be thankful we never passed M4A and private insurers are motivated by profit, not ideology. That means they support vaccines, contraception, abortions, etc.

Where's your passport then? In Trump's america, you'd best have it on you at all times.

It gets worse. In 20 years, those same folks will say it was a disaster and blame it on you.

Well. I'm no Russian operative. I'm just a liberal dem who doesn't believe that people on the internet have some sort of special access to secret information that the Harris campaign did not and does not have access to. And the truth is that once she conceded, that was it. Game over.

Maybe. But plain old runoff voting (like we have in CA) is better. It gives the voters a few months to get to know the remaining candidates after their first choice has lost. Then they can make an informed decision between the 2.
