By charging Americans 15% tax to buy Toyota, but charging GM 50+% tax to import their raw materials, Trump is *crushing US manufacturing*

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.

I’ll say it again - when *any* politician uses the ‘I haven’t read that story’ lie about something they knew they would get asked about, the interviewer has a duty to say ‘Okay, in that case I’m going to terminate this interview and you can come back when you’re better prepared.”
TAPPER: I have a hard time thinking that if a D president held a dinner for investors in his cryptocurrency, you wouldn't be outraged

MIKE JOHNSON: Look, I don't know anything about the dinner. I was a little busy this past week, so I'm not going to comment on something I haven't even heard about

These guys are about to kick millions of people off their health insurance and they don't have the faintest idea of how these programs work, just throwing out numbers in an incoherent jumble. It's like a football coach saying "We've got a 10-yard redzone in our offside flea flicker so we'll be good"
House E&C Chair Brett Guthrie: “We have an expansion population that gets 90% federal money, and you have traditional [Medicaid], so a disabled child in Kentucky gets 72 cents when they go to the doctor. And we know that’s just unsustainable.”

Republicans consider unraveling a key part of Obamacare in Trump agenda bill
The chair of the House committee overseeing health care policy said they're looking at unwinding the federal promise to cover 90% of the 2010 law's Medicaid expansion.

Just saying and doing things you actually believe rather than playing 4-D chess is an underrated political strategy.
Q: "How do you respond to Governor Newsom?"

Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."

Remember when you convinced 9 other Democratic senators to betray the country and enable this like two weeks ago
While markets plunge and retirement accounts reel from Trump’s tariffs:

Elon and DOGE are taking a blowtorch to Social Security

They shut down local offices
They shut down phone services
They shut down website services
And now they’re proposing another round of mass layoffs

man if the other party intentionally wrecks the economy so swiftly and thoroughly that markets drop 10 percent in 2 days and you can't just say "this is bad" with your whole chest, it's time to get out of the "opposition party" business.
As Trump wrecks the economy, destroy savings, jobs, & people's lives w/ his massive tax hike (disguised as tariffs) - once again Senate/House Democrats are being bunch of cowards and pulling their punches.

And folks wonder why the Democratic brand is in the gutter. www.axios.com/newsletters/...

Now that Wall Street correctly believes, in light of his tariffs, that Trump is insane, is it really going to look with favor upon the law firms that shamelessly caved to him?

Too many people who were children in 2009 are now on here and Twitter like “Obama had HOW MANY senators and he didn’t give us free universal healthcare?”

My brother in christ, do you know how watered down the ACA had to get to get every Democrat on board?

The ACA saved my life:
The ACA saved my life. My company changed insurance provider partway through my cancer therapy, when my cancer had become refractory and the next phase was CAR T-cell therapy or autologous stem cell transplant. Pre-existing condition + hugely expensive therapy. Instead, I got CAR T-cell therapy.

The ACA is cool because 45 million more people have healthcare coverage today than they did before the ACA passed.

And the healthcare coverage must meet a minimum set of standards (i.e. what insurance covers) that did not exist before the ACA.

The ACA is cool because before the ACA insurance companies could see a doctors visit for a rolled ankle when you were 12 and deny you insurance coverage for a pre-existing condition and after the ACA that’s illegal.

Dear 25 Republicans: you have a better chance to survive (literally and politically) by defecting to the Dem side for double impeachment and sanity.
It also puts further downward pressure on the market as the players are publicly traded. And risks more American jobs in key Republican constituencies.
