They’re dead because you and your party sent a death squad after them and their neighbors, idiot
Ron Johnson to Keith Ellison: "Two people are dead because you encouraged them to put themselves into harm's way! And now you are exploiting those two martyrs. You ought to feel damn guilty about it. Yeah, sit there and smirk. Smirk. It's sick! It's despicable. You disgust me."

I have a history of colorectal cancer in my family. I had to fight and argue to get a colonoscopy at the age of 45 (clear as was the result for my eighty something father the same week!). Argue. Advocate. Don’t take no for an answer. Early detection saves lives! (And get your mammogram!)
James Van Der Beek died of stage 3 colorectal cancer. It’s the same diagnosis my husband @danosaurusrex82.bsky.social had at just 42. His doctor used the word epidemic to describe cases among younger people with no family history.

Get your colonoscopy. Please.

2. How many different ways can billionaire pro-natalist freaks make clear that they plan to subjugate women and girls by any means necessary?

Bro literally came out and said “it’s our labor and culture that has always made the Americas great: y’all are just the beneficiaries of slave owners from sea to shining sea,” and I am here for it.
It was transforming the biggest NFL stage in the world into a sugar cane plantation that did it for me.

Like, the multiple layers of turning an American icon into a plantation and highlighting the history of exploitation of Black and Brown bodies by the NFL and American colonialism simultaneously?

I’m seeing a lot of posts saying the little boy Bad Bunny gave his Grammy to was Liam Ramos even though that child looked nothing like him and it was a beautiful enough moment as it is, also Liam is traumatized so I’m pretty sure an ICE-flanked Super Bowl is not the best place for him right now.

Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

I think it's funny that they made a commercial joking about how Kendall Jenner is a football curse and not a single thing has happened this whole game. She strikes again!

I'm gonna have a big ol bag of chips and I don't look and sound like a desiccated meatball trying desperately to speak human English so whose diet is really working here?
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

The “wine mom” shit in 2016 was absolutely an op to sow division on the left, lighting the Bernie or Bust tire fire. It fucking worked. It’s still working.
Is anybody ever gonna take a step back and realize the "Russia Russia Russia" people — derided as lunatic wine moms — were actually underplaying the foreign influence stuff, and the loud people who kept insisting it was all fake are now saying Jeffrey Epstein was kind of a cool guy?

👀 Apparently, Ross Douthat invited Seth Harp to debate him on Douthat's "Interesting Times" NYT podcast. Harp says that the episode was recorded, Douthat got crushed, and RD/NYT decided not to publish it.

the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex

I think often of the women in the Louis CK story—how they all left comedy and never went back, but he’s still going. It’s everywhere and it’s such a loss for them and for us—for things they’ll never make that we’ll never see.
