Imbecilic moron

Posts are a test of how repressive a state is by law or custom.

Dissent once from Donald J Trump and you are a “traitor”.

Donald Trump knows the penalty for that crime. When will everyone stop making excuses for his violent rhetoric?
He’s still workshopping the nickname

ICE’s Detention Center outside Chicago was sued on October 30 for allegedly abusing detainees. One day later, a "system crash" lost all video footage that could have shown how detainees were being treated. trib.al/QwT3aqI

No shock here: The Guardian notes several phrases in the U.S. peace proposal to Ukraine appear to be directly translated from Russian.

One standout is the line “It is expected that Russia will not invade neighboring countries,” a clunky English phrasing mirroring the Russian “ожидается.”

It's just straight up badly translated from it's original Russian seriously.

Just to review, in the last week the President of the United States:

- Refused to condemn the rise of Neo-Nazis in his party
- Tried to block the release of further evidence he sexually abused children
- Encouraged the execution of Congressional Democrats

Those are just factual statements.

For the record, this “peace plan” is bizarre. Elements of it read like they were scrawled by a tween on a napkin. There’s language that doesn’t make sense at all.

Most Republicans in Congress remained silent (or praised) Trump's pardons of those who attacked the Capitol on 1/6; now most are silent in the wake of Trump's call for the killing of their Democratic colleagues.
And yet they claim to be concerned about "political violence."
Remarkable: Rep Chrissy Houlahan, one of the Dems that Trump called for executing, tells me her office literally filled out a Capitol Police threat report that listed "the president" as the person making the threat.

It's at 9:20 on our pod. Much more like that here:

Insanity. Right wing censorship on bullshit pretexts
Our entire Media & Political Elite went along with premise that open fascists were going to reform universities (by defunding research & ending free speech) to protect the Jews & promote free speech. Absolutely wild absurdity, just collective delusion from X/Fox-addled brains.
The U.S. Coast Guard issued a more stringent policy on hate symbols, prohibiting “divisive or hate symbols or flags.”

The change came hours after The Post reported that the service would instead classify such symbols as “potentially divisive.”
