Back then Jedi Knight i think now probably FF7 . I did love first first Age of Empires back then too so HM for back then i guess.
Back then Half Life i think. Now ? Starcraft . It's the godfather of ANY Esport and still played massively ( albeit the Remastered version )

Back then Half Life i think. Now ? Starcraft . It's the godfather of ANY Esport and still played massively ( albeit the Remastered version )
Back then AOE II now ? I think too. I tried Planescape Torment but it's very difficult to play now. Tried and i had some kind of bug and my savegame was gone and i just couldn't start again . Gameplay was too annoying.

Back then AOE II now ? I think too. I tried Planescape Torment but it's very difficult to play now. Tried and i had some kind of bug and my savegame was gone and i just couldn't start again . Gameplay was too annoying.
Then ? Diablo 2 i think . Now ? Baldur's Gate 2 i had my parents buy it to me but i wasn't patient enough for all the reading required . BG 2 is also unlike the original Deus Ex still very much playable.

No idea what i would've said back in 2012 but i think i'll give it to XCom now for imho reviving it's genre.

I'm giving it to Black Flag. Last Assassins Creed game i really enjoyed because the Assassin stuff was irrelevant .
HM : Metal Gear Rising. Comically short with really glaring issues but man it was such a blast to play with a kickass sound track and an incredibly fun story line .

This one is obvious . It's Witcher 3 and it's not even close. Best game of the PS4-ish generation and it was pretty much clear from release how good it was .
