Anybody here works at 1Password & would consider giving a referral? 🙌

There is a Rails Developer role that would be an excellent match for my experience! Please share, this could be really helpful after being laid off <3

What harm can a politically biased massive media platform do though, really?….checks US and rise of far right across Europe….oh. Crap
When did you ever hear the BBC stating that it must alter “story selection” and “other types of output, such as drama”, to win the trust of Green voters, or of unrepresented people on the left?
All the shifts are in just one direction.

Living the reality of spending 1000x more time and effort researching a note taking system than I’ll ever spend actually taking notes.

It’s fine - Trump’s got a magic marker which draws the path hurricanes will follow.
Weather and climate research funds are being “chainsawed” from NOAA's budget. Last I checked, Louisiana & Florida, which are maximally susceptible to Hurricanes, voted Red in the last General Election.

Wondering if residents there knew in advance this would happen.

The lack of critical thinking in teenagers plus the echo chamber of social media is *terrifying*.

We’ve failed a whole generation.

As a criminal defense attorney, the vast majority of my cases were NOT immigrants.

So let's stop pretending immigrants are the problem when there's a 34-count convicted felon sitting in the White House.

The hypocrisy is outrageous.

#microsoftHack I’m getting login attempts every few minutes from across the globe on my Microsoft account.

*please* use a password manager (bitwarden is great) and turn on 2 factor authentication.

All of this. I *know* American’s aren’t this stupid, at least the ones I know aren’t. I just don’t get it. Genuinely. It’s like a genuine mass delusion. Speed running the destruction of America rule of law, soft, and hard power.
Just went to the corner shop. Told them they were cheating by selling more things to me than I sell to them and insisted on paying extra for my pint of milk. That’ll learn em.

I’ve stopped using email as a todo list given I had 100s of unread “todo”s. I’m much more organized and now have 100s of neglected Apple Reminders.

But yes, the next software I chose will solve the problem…

I did an *amazing* “hello world” once. Elegant. Simple. No bugs. It was a one-liner: “println(“hello world”).

The pinnacle of Software Engineering, the heights of which I’ll never touch again.

Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about that beauty.

Those were the days.
