I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

Gov. Pritzker has said all the right things, but now he needs to act and get these state troopers out of there.
A protester with a mobility aid (cane) was sitting in the road. Illinois state troopers dragged them to the grass and arrested them.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov what authority does ICE have to manage use of public roads? That sounds like a job for local and state law enforcement.

ICE just chased everyone off the public road by the Broadview facility. They yelled for people to move and immediately began firing gas into the crowd, which included legal observers, press, and medics.

That doesn’t seem to be working, Governor. ICE is beating the crap out of people in Broadview & firing pepper balls at them. For peacefully protesting. What exactly are the police supposed to be doing? They certainly aren’t protecting anyone. But, they look the other way when ICE gets violent.
