Instagram is a prison
When I deleted IG from my phone, I started taking far fewer photos. Reflecting on why, I realized how many were a performance of "I'm at this place, isn't my life good/interesting?!" Wild how ingrained that performance of being happy/fulfilled was that I didn't even realize it was a core motivation.

In London 2009, Gary Numan made a surprise appearance with NIN to play Numan's "Metal" & "Cars." I filmed it in one unbroken shot from the middle of the stage with a handheld DSLR.

Here's the full video, savor the Dudes Rock energy of two legends doing a big mutual respect ("Cars" starts at 6:38):

Art and artists make cities and neighborhoods great.
After a trial over the last few years, Ireland has launched a permanent scheme giving a basic income of €325 a week for artists.

2,000 will be eligible, and successful recipients will be chosen at random from applicants, who must be "professional artists" (definition tbc).
Ireland announces scheme to provide basic income for artists
The Basic Income for Artists (BIA) project is believed to be the first permanent one of its kind in the world.

Ass assford
Once again, Ass Assford is lying to Torontonians by claiming Mayor Chow is "raiding the reserves" for this year's budget. This is especially ridiculous given he called for using reserve funds himself to fund tax breaks for businesses. #shame #TOpoli #StopBradford www.thestar.com/news/gta/is-...
Is Mayor Olivia Chow ‘raiding’ Toronto’s reserves in the 2026 budget?
Coun. Brad Bradford is accusing the mayor of using the city's bank accounts to "buy Torontonians' votes" with an artificially low tax rate. Do his allegations have any merit?
