David Parnas famously said that "one bad programmer can easily create two new jobs a year". Now imagine what one bad programmer with Claude Code can do.

I recently did a talk on internet safety for parents/guardians and it was well received by those in the room. Its honestly the toughest talk I have researched and given. It might help you if you have kids or you are the local tech support for people with small humans. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgF5...

I keep seeing cases where orgs want to introduce observability to their applications, but almost as a tick box exercise. They want to enable the zero-code instrumentation and call it job done. I wish more saw this step as the start of the journey, not the end. #observability #dotnet #opentelemetry

TIL how to FOCUS the Visual Studio Code hover window.

I've long known that Ctrl+k,Ctrl+i shows hover information (e.g. type, documentation), but this hover window sometimes contains so much text that you have to scroll it. How to do that without the mouse? Press Ctrl+k,Ctrl+i again!

it's kinda weird that all the software i am expected to use for work are all written by distributed teams, go, python, postgres, linux, chrome, k8s etc

and despite being told "the best teams work in an office together" i don't know of any software i use that's actually written that way

.NET STS releases are now supported for 2 years instead of 18 months starting with .NET 9 (the current STS). STS releases now go out-of-support on the same day as the previous LTS release. Upgrading to an STS release will no longer cause you to lose support!
