The one silver lining to ICE storming into towns around the country is that more people are becoming engaged in fighting back.

@willbunch.bsky.social brings us the story of another local hero getting involved.

The problem as I see it is that religions, particularly American Christianity, have lost their morality card. We're rightfully suspicious of people touting a religion that has so many terrible examples of straying from their own teachings. Christians need to be more like Jesus to lose our mistrust.

This man & his vile, racist behavior have no business in Congress—let alone on the Foreign Affairs Committee, where we're charged with representing America's values on the world stage.

He should resign. If he won't, Speaker Johnson must strip him of his committee assignment.

There’s a lot to investigate and report on from today’s stunning deposition of Les Wexner. But here’s something I can’t get over.

I asked Mr. Wexner if the DOJ or FBI ever contacted him to ask him about Epstein and his crimes. He said NO. That’s outrageous and unforgivable.

Is racism genetic?
Katie Miller claims Stephen Miller's genes are making her sick:

"Why have I been more nauseous this pregnancy, had more eczema? It's because it's more of my husband's genetic makeup than mine in this baby."

James Marion Sims, known as “the father of modern gynecology," achieved his breakthroughs by experimenting on Black girls and women, without anesthesia or meaningful consent.

It’s an origin story the US medical establishment has spent almost 180 years trying to reconcile, whitewash, or ignore.

NEW: A MAGA-aligned campaign firm is making millions from Trump’s redistricting war.

It secured a $4.3 million contract with the Utah GOP to collect signatures to override the state’s partisan gerrymandering ban.

And it may have crossed a line in the ongoing battle in Missouri.
Missouri volunteers say they were harassed by paid GOP canvassers. It’s likely the same group accused of forging signatures in Utah
“They were like, ‘Actually, no. We’re here to stop you from getting signatures.’”

As I predicted last week, the GOP has filed a new lawsuit -- again in Tazewell County. At this point they are just helping increase my firm's court victory count for the cycle. So I guess I should say thanks.😂
After the state Supreme Court's order today, Virginia Democrats are now one referendum vote away from a 10-1 congressional map. I suspect the GOP is trying to figure out how to file a new lawsuit or concoct a theory for SCOTUS. Both will fail.

A big win! www.democracydocket.com/cases/virgin...

Hearing this from a member of Congress is like asking a plumber "What's this pipe for?" and having him respond "That's a great question. I don't know the answer. It's like, a metal tube thingy in your wall? Not sure what's in there. Maybe grape juice? Or hamsters? I guess we'll never know."
BARTIROMO: Could the president just implement an executive order to get the SAVE Act across the finish line going into the midterms?

REP. MARK HARRIS: That's a great question. I don't know the answer to that, quite frankly.
