I'm far too emotionally attached to way too many fictional characters. nicwatchestv@gmail.com she/her

Maybe this is the last time I have to copy/paste this to a new social media platform

So…Americans represented by Democratic Senators and Representatives?

Sorry.
We’re no longer part of “we the people,” according to this regime.
Himes: "I was delighted to hear that Tom Cotton, chairmen of the Senate Intel Committee, has been in regular contact with the admin. I've had zero outreach and no D I'm aware of has. So apparently we're now in a world where the legal obligation to keep Congress informed only applies to your party."

For all that the media has spent years freaking out about what social media does to our brains, I don’t understand why there appears to be little effort to grapple with the fact that these chatbots are, for some not insignificant portion of the population, literally psychosis machines

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.

I am struggling with what might be a generational experience. The gulf war was pretty politically formative for me. It’s not history so much as memory this time.

It is destabilizing to see almost the exact same gameplan but this time without the guardrails that at the time I took for granted.

there is no constituency that needs you to fall all over yourself to call Maduro illegitimate before you dare criticize Trump. Voters have been down this road before. No one thought Saddam Hussein was a nice guy. Criticism of Maduro at this stage correctly reads as a defense of Trump to most people.
Just an absolutely pathetic response from absolutely pathetic people. I was not a fan of Pelosi but even she would be better than the current crew.

American folks, the USPS has some postmark changes you REALLY need to be aware of. If a post-date mark is important to the timeliness of your mail - bill or otherwise - you might need to go inside and request the stamp at the desk.
