Thread 1/2: As activism against the #EACOP Project intensifies in Uganda, many youth activists leading the fight face strong resistance from the government and its agents to suppress and weaken them with prolonged detention and unscrupulous to pave the way for oil developments.

People have been "suppressed & weakened with torture, unlawful arrests, & prolonged detentions accompanied by unscrupulous charges." None have been convicted.
