Plays clarinet in Ishtar Pittsburgh's Premiere Vintage Bellydance Band. Rides a bicycle and takes public transit. Rabid liberal, feminist, polyamorous. Anti - republican.
This right here. This is why I can't get protected bike infrastructure thru some of Pittsburgh's hottest neighborhoods. I just want to survive a ride from 16th St to 54th St and back again. If anyone here works at Allegheny Wine Mixer let them know I would be there every night.

I ride my bike for enjoyment and transportation. #Pittsburgh #bikesky #ebike #extendpenn

🙄🙄🙄🙄

Las Vegas could expand the Monorail and have dedicated bus lanes. And install protected bike infrastructure. Their streets are absurdly and excessively wide.

Demoralizing.
New York to Chicago by train:

1905: Pennsylvania Railroad, 18 hours

2025: Amtrak, 19.5 hours

Why do so many commuter ebikes not have chain guards? I am not a lycra velodrome user, just some chick who wants to get around town without black marks all over my pants. 😡 It's fucking annoying.

Me too.
I love that when I am biking places for transportation it still kinda feels like recreation.

Exactly. I have no choice to go through a dimly lit park where people like to mill around in the dark. 😒
Women deserve the freedom to move - yet many still feel unsafe cycling

No one should have to choose between a busy road or a dark path. When cycling’s safer for women, it’s safer for everyone 🚲

Cars are to transportation what billionaires are to American society... there's way more of them than we need and the forces that maintain their dominance make life worse for the rest of us. Mamdani understands that.

Mamdani election a massive win for urbanism and healthy cities
He's an unabashed lover of buses and bikes with a massive mandate.

I want to vote for this person
Trains. Ebike subsidies. Renewables. Geothermal. Transit. Passivehaus housing. Thousand-percent fines on companies violating environmental laws. Carbon taxes. Banning short-haul flights. Banning private vehicles within cities. Promoting healthier living. Taxing the living fuck out of the rich.

All jokes aside, people from across the country are invested in Zohran Mamdani winning because the people need hope.

Folks are feeling run down. Things are bleak. We need proof that our neighbors still know how to make the right choice and that change is possible.

I wish Zohran would come live in Pittsburgh so I could vote for him.
Zohran Mamdani: eats with his hands
Andrew Cuomo: can’t keep his hands to himself.

Seems like a tough choice, New York.
Happy Election Day 🎉

When drivists choose a different way to travel, my 🚲🚲 safety is increased. I don't own a car and never learned to drive, so I can't replace car trips. But others can and I wish they would drive less.

On the topic of Dick Cheney....
Used to think he was the most vile of GOP warmongers. It’s humbling to see there is no bottom in their continuing assault on morality.

Going to go vote today in my old kindergarten classroom. I came back many years ago to the same neighborhood I lived in as a small child. I am such a typical #Yinzer.

This take is perfect. We don't need more cars, we need less cars overall in our cities and towns. Want to drive? Stay out in the burbs and go to Walmart. 😘
I find it amusing that for autonomous driving fanboys, the fact that these cars hardly ever kill anyone is THE argument.

I mean, that would also be the case with speed limits, car-free zones and separate infrastructure for bikes, pedestrians and cars.

But THAT would really be asking too much!

Hey @reportsstrip.bsky.social I bike, I shop. Encourage safe PROTECTED bike infrastructure thru the Strip District. Sharrows suck. Paint is not protection. I don't want to ride in Spring Way with the dumpsters. 😡 🪰
If the only way to bring wallets into shops is using a car, that massively limits the numbers of wallets.
If you make it easy, safe, and pleasant for wallets to arrive at shops by foot, bike or public transit, there is no limit to the number of wallets that can access shops.
It’s not rocket science
