Good reporting, HOWEVER!!! I hate the phrase “school choice.” What it really means is “forced resegregation”
The Trump administration is working to dramatically expand school choice, moving kids to a range of private & religious schools or homeschooling. Ultimately, what percentage of children would remain in public schools? A Moms for Liberty co-founder told me: “I hope zero. I hope to get to zero.”
These Activists Want to Dismantle Public Schools. Now They Run the Education Department.
Under Trump, the Department of Education has been bringing in activists hostile to public schools. It could mean a new era of private and religious schools boosted by tax dollars — and the end of publ...

Just sitting in my parked car listening to different versions of Neil Young’s Human Highway thinking about the inevitability of death and drinking iced coffee. A regular ol’ Wednesday.

During the hotly-anticipated Season Two premiere of Twin Peaks (a 2-hour episode directed by David Lynch), one of the commercial breaks was taken up by this trailer for the Coen Brothers' 3rd feature film, Miller's Crossing.

This trailer is so good. I used to watch it over and over.

Senator Saval nails it in this video.

Reallocating transit capital funds is service cuts by another name.
I'm back in Harrisburg today to continue our fight for public transit funding. Some of my Republican colleagues are proposing SEPTA use money from its capital fund to cover operating costs. Let me be clear: this is service cuts by another name.

Politicians working out in public is a bipartisan custom. But Democrats are increasingly posting weightlifting content in hopes of reaching male voters in the so-called “manosphere” that Trump mastered during his campaign.

In the fifth grade we watched a sex ed video in health class on the ol’ tv cart. My uncle had just remarried and I recognized his step-son/my step cousin as a young actor in the video. His big line was, “If everyone else’s is bigger than mine does that mean I’m less of a man?”
Name something you remember watching in this!

This is 100% true. A majority of children’s TV is mind numbing aggressive IP slop with zero educational, social, or emotional value. The visual equivalent of Cheetos - addictive and with zero nourishment. PBS is our only hope.
The PBS Kids app is one of the few things you can trust your kids to play around with on a computer. All the shows that you can stream are good and entertaining. Nothing positive comes from getting rid of this, they're just trying to make life worse for everyone www.nytimes.com/2025/05/06/u...

I would with all sincerity read a book about the history of conventions. I mean there are massive buildings devoted to housing these huge conventions about practically everything all over the world. How did we get here?!
I really, really like movies, but WTF is Cinemacon?!
