It's time to put in your suggestions to the Fenchurch St Healthy Streets Plan to improve cycle provision in the area between Fenchurch Street and Lower Thames Street in the City of London.
This early consultation closes Fri 17 October.

Good news! It's been confirmed this morning that contraflow cycling will return to King William Street next Monday, assuming that the road surfacing goes as planned this weekend.

I love the Strand Aldwych. It used to be four lanes of traffic that cut off St. Mary le Strand Church, but now it's a space for people and plants. Once these changes are made in cities, no one ever wants to revert to the way things were. ♥️ London

Disappointed that TfL has abandoned its plans to replace the Wandsworth Gyratory with no alternative ideas. 2014 it was a “car-clogged one-way system hostile to pedestrians and cyclists” and nothing changed since. Is it too late to safe Wandsworth Town?

11 years, £27m set aside, overwhelming public support in two consultations… and TfL has just scrapped Wandsworth’s one-way system redesign. High construction costs apparently outweigh cleaner air and safer streets. Back to square one.

The resurfaced C11 outside Bart's Hospital.

Was told that the West Smithfield section of C11 (where it meets C6) is opened permanently (with a mini-hint of "unless...").

Campaigners! 🙌🏻 What’s a term for when you shout until you’re blue in the face about a stretch of road and nothing gets done- for YEARS? 🗓️

“Stuck Record Blues” maybe? 😢🎵🎤 Any others?

Because I’ve had serious Stuck Record Blues this week - and there’s a story behind it. 🧵1/18

👷 TfL's new plans for Shoreditch High Street are an improvement on previous junction redesigns, but simply aren't safe enough for people riding through...

The West Smithfield end of C11 is open again, hopefully more permanent this time.

There *might* even be little indications that the left side in pic 4 could be getting readied to be reopened.

Everyone should watch this!

It's a delightful & joyous celebration of how we're transforming London into a cycling city.

Brilliant to see ... but there's much more hard work to do.

Black cabs will be allowed through Bank jn, eastwards only from 28 July then both ways from October.

Simon Munk of London Cycling Campaign: "Reintroducing more motor traffic to a now beautiful, calm and people-friendly space risks significantly worsening the jn."

The experiment to allow taxi access on Cornhill and Poultry across Bank starts on Monday 28 July. This will start eastbound only from Poultry to Cornhill and then be fully open in October to westbound. We will be monitoring the situation.

Ranty stating very clearly here why there should not be any reference to bus stop design in the Bus Services [No.2] Bill as it would bring cycling as transport to an end for most people in England.
As promised, my written evidence is now on the @cityinfinity.bsky.social website blog. It has also been acknowledged by Parliamentary support.

I hope you understand why I have unusually disabled replies.
