I keep asking "what's it going to take?" for U.S. citizens to organize and do something about this regime, but I don't think there's a line. It's going to take a world war to stop Trump and the technofascists who puppet him.

Serious thing for folks to consider is, particularly for marginalized people, Grudges Are Self-Defense. What you may be interpreting as pettiness is probably closer aligned to "You have demonstrated you're not to be trusted." And knowing who REALLY has your back is more important that ever.

Capitalism is unsustainable. A system organized around endless profit accumulation cannot coexist with a finite planet. Protecting the Earth in the long term requires abolishing profit as the guiding principle of production.
One thing 2025 made clear: Durable progress on climate in the US will require structural reform to our corrupted political systems. Otherwise, steps forward will always be vulnerable to the bloody clawbacks we saw this year. A political strategy that doesn't center system reform is not "pragmatic."
