I just saw the video of Charlie Kirk being shot—shared by Rep. MTG. It left me sick. Horrified. We should never normalize turning violence and trauma into content. That is not leadership, it’s exploitation.

I dont quite have the words to express the pit I have in my stomach over the targeted political violence that occurred in Minnesota, or how jarring it is to see a response from some Republican lawmakers, including the President, to blame democrats, in spite of democrat lawmakers being targeted.

Guns are the #1 cause of death for U.S. kids, but securely storing firearms can help change that.

That's why we team up with @adcouncil.bsky.social on our @endfamilyfire.org program to spread the message of secure gun storage.

Brady's @christianheyne.bsky.social shares how change is possible.

If DOGE is a federal agency, it can’t shield its records from the public.

If it’s not an agency, then its tens of millions of dollars in funding weren’t legally allocated and should be returned, some contend.

The Office of Gun Violence Prevention was a historic test of what a whole-of-govenment approach to addressing the uniquely American crisis of gun violence.

Run by survivors it worked to protect ALL Americans.

The shuttering of this office is abhorrent and should outrage all every single American.

Trump’s cabinet picks, like Pete Hegseth, Linda McMahon, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who have been accused of sexual misconduct or abuse, reflect more than poor judgment. They highlight a broader culture of weaponized masculinity which has clear ties to America’s gun violence epidemic. Thread 🧵 ⤵️
The growing list of sexual misconduct allegations against Trump’s picks
Several of the president-elect’s top picks to lead his government have been accused of sexual assault, harassment or child sex trafficking.

If we cannot be kind to people posting in real time about unimaginable loss- we should just be quiet.

They read the comments.

Just say nothing. Don’t ask how they got separated from their dog. Don’t minimize the extent of their losses. Don’t send them unvetted resources or information.

Gaetz is so innocent he resigned his seat in Congress to try & block the report from becoming public, then filed an emergency motion seeking an injunction to block its release, now can’t fight the charges because he quit rather than stay and contest them.

As innocent people do.

This is just a fact. There isn't even a thought to the politics.

We haven't even gotten to inauguration and this is already a train wreck.

Buckle up.
President Musk and VP Trump are not even good at playing politics; they forced a vote, so 38 of their own members voted against it, making it impossible to convince anyone sane that the Dems are shutting down the government.
