Wonder what Putin ... Um I mean Trump ... is planning now? Special military operation or domestic special military operation?
Well… that’s weird.

Really weird.
The FAA is closing the airspace around El Paso International Airport in Texas for 10 days, grounding all flights to and from the airport, for “special security reasons."

The FAA's notice did not provide additional details.

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

Strange how the tabloids and angry racists keep shouting about violent knife crime committed by people they hate. Almost like it is a made up problem to scare people into voting a certain way?
‘At 499, the number of homicides - murder & manslaughter - is the lowest for 43 years.
Calendar year 1983: 482 crimes are logged as "currently recorded" as homicide.
For offences "initially recorded" as homicide, you have to go back to 1977 for a figure below 499 (484).

£4m for a bunch of links, and they can't even get that right.

More redistribution of money from citizens to donors and posh pals. It's only socialism when the poors benefit.

the government paid £4 million for a website that simply links out to AI training courses from other companies rather than using that money to make something actually bespoke

which I guess is actually a pretty accurate representation of this whole damn thing 🥲

Given that this technology is currently subject to lawsuits over it causing psychosis, self harm, suicide, and even murder, and given that repeated studies have found it is inaccurate and misleading at least half the time, what definition of "safe" are you using here?

This government clearly don't really understand the complexity or the danger of the situation. They show no sign of beginning to understand, and every sign of asking the monorail salesman how public transport should work. It's going to be an uphill struggle, but don't leave this to politicians.
