Jesus Christ. DHS has held this guy in the hospital handcuffed to a bed and under constant guard for over a MONTH without ANY warrant or even ANY steps taken towards putting him into the removal system!

ICE has provided no response. Id. To date, ICE has not placed Petitioner in removal proceedings, charged him with violating immigration law, set bond, issued a Notice to Appear, or otherwise processed him. See Pet. ¶¶ 16, 49. In Respondent’s Opposition brief, the government states “ICE intends to take further action consistent with the laws prescribed under the Immigration and Nationality Act (“INA”) once Petitioner is released from medical care and it can conduct the examination as [prescribed] in 8 C.F.R § 287.3.” Opp. at 4. I’ve read a billion books and watched a million films and documentaries about the rise of fascism in Europe in the 30s and I really never thought being one of the fascism noticers would feel like this but here we are

Ok so in case yall missed the memo like I did. David Lehman, series editor of Best American Poetry is a Zionist ass. Literally feel embarrassed that I wound up in this situation. I was literally the only person of color in a room of 50+ people. It was terrifying.

Today was Botox round 2 for migraines. My neuro is convinced this one will help, and I'm still trying to be optimistic. Today is also Day 179 of daily migraines. Here's hoping this stops them before I hit the half-year mark 🤞

I’m not surpried by the NEA’s decision to cancel and delete the efforts of Creative Writing Fellows but I am disappointed by the clear determination that creatives are once again not valued or given any kind of grace for the time it took to fill out the application.

Correct. It’s insane that anyone is standing for this. We need people in the streets, campus protests, a general strike. Democrats should be holding rallies and press events constantly. The apathy in the face of all this is astounding.
That was one of the most batshit press conferences of Trump's public life. He brandished a photo of Putin and promised to deploy the US military to occupy Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. A sane country would be moving toward impeachment and removal right now.
