Covering the small boats 'deal' without referencing Macron's irrefutably accurate observation that blame for the 'crisis' lies with Brexit involves contortions so violent that the people doing it should be in a circus.

No more sucking up to Trump.

No more hand waving about so called "special relationships."

Beyond time for Keir Starmer to condemn this - and then stop our own active involvement with the genocide.

Macron’s line about pull factors is just complete nonsense too.

70% of people who came to the uk as asylum seekers in the last 20 years come from countries we colonised.
Those ties + the fact we are a safe country that DESPERATELY NEEDS workers. That is why people come. #r4today

Radical? Lowering bills, reducing rents, defending our NHS, and refusing to arm genocide.

The real radicals are in government - and the commentariat that “warns” you when we all dare to say: it doesn’t have to be like this.

27 people — including a priest, professor and health workers — were arrested today under terrorism laws.

Their crime? Peacefully holding signs opposing genocide.

This is how we sleepwalk into fascism.

Bear in mind that if you held up a sign saying "I support genocide", you would not be arrested under the Terrorism Act.
Just received news that 27 people have been arrested in Parliament Square under the Terrorism Act 2000 for holding signs saying "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action".
This is real police state behaviour.

1. One thing you need to realise about the British Establishment is that it uses clowns to express its deepest desires. People like Rod Liddle offer a kind of deniability - "lighten up, he's just having a laugh". But they deliver a closer representation of its truths than any sober editorial.
Meanwhile

The Spectator is condoning the bombing of Brighton and Glastonbury

Today the order banning #PalestineAction as "terrorists" came into effect. But they are not terrorists. They are protesters trying to stop a genocide. This is a "first they came for ..." situation. Unless we stand in solidarity against this assault on our freedom, they will pick us off one by one.

Most people won’t vote for the Reform Party.

Around 74%

Interesting when you see the data this way round isn’t it.

Rather than pretend FPTP shows true representation.

Or pretend the media coverage of someone who most people don’t want is real.
