You have made me think about how not reacting to acts of antisemitism could be seems as condoning it, so I will try do more to call them out. I can’t speak to the motivations of everyone who criticises Israel though

For whatever it’s worth I do think attacks against people just for being Jewish are awful and I wish they weren’t as prevalent as they are

Also it’s worth pointing out that western leaders all virulently condemn and pursue charges against acts of antisemitism, but do essentially nothing to police Islamophobia and violence in Palestine, so I think a lot of people feel a need to focus on the latter to force balance to the agenda

I condemn this attack, violence against anyone based on their religion is wrong. I don’t subscribe to the view that someone should actively seek out and condemn much smaller-scale/isolated acts of violence against Jews before they are allowed to criticise the actions of the Israeli government though

The only immigration stories most journalists seem to understand seem to be ones that paint migrants as criminals or some kind of threat. We’re in a cycle of lazy demonisation that at this point is frankly boring. Real lack of curiosity for what a good system might be. #r4today
