It’s 66 degrees and sunny in Arlington. Rain won’t start for hours. And the roof on the Death Star is closed. Why? Why did Arlington help pay for a retractable roof that is never retracted?

Also, didn’t the “retractable” part once match the rest?

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Why a bunch of Senators who are retiring are leading the negotiations is something to really think on
I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

JFC George - don’t accept the premise

Tariffs are taxes paid by consumers and businesses.

Frame the question the right way.

It’s not a damn true/false
STEPHANOPOULOS: Trump says we're taking in "trillions of dollars" from tariffs. Is that true?

BESSENT: Uh. Over the course of the next few years, we could take in trillions of dollars

S: Are you worried though that the president's focus on revenue is going to hurt you at SCOTUS?

B: Not at all
