This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Anyways I’m sure this Samuel show also gets to fully focus on weird and fun little compositions and animation with the lack of color and simpler designs, too.

Like, maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve heard that the Simpsons were yellow to get you to stop and look at it when you were flipping channels. Then your brain is trained to that, and it looked great.
Simpsons moving away from the fun colors and early wacky character design theory always was a travesty.

My hot take about the “students cannot read whole novels / watch whole films / etc.” is that they can learn to do it. None of us are born with attention spans suited for long media. It is a learned skill and can be developed with practice.
