What does this even fucking mean? A-Level English isn’t about conversational fluency. Is the Government seriously suggesting that the ability to produce a reasonable academic dissection of the themes of bloody Middlemarch or whatever the fuck is going to be a prerequisite for entry? Moronic.

Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".

My main takeaway is how the employee reports all her colleagues being supportive, it’s clear than transphobia is an orchestrated, top down assault on civil rights that doesn’t enjoy the support the media and politicians want you to believe

This whole story is the perfect summation of the anti-trans panic. A trans person (if they were even trans!) dares to exist in a public setting. A bigot makes an insane complaint. The press and GC public figures loudly portray the trans person as dangerous. And that's the message the public here.
There is such a malicious game of telephone being played with the Telegraph’s M&S ‘trans’ shop assistant story. It’s gone from the anonymous complaint claiming the person was trans because they were tall to versions — notably in The Sun — falsely suggesting the person offered a bra fitting.
