We need snow badly!
This weekend, a weak atmospheric river will bring moderate to locally heavy rainfall to the Pacific Northwest which could result in isolated flooding. Higher elevations of the Cascades will likely see some snowfall.

For the latest forecast stay up to date with your local NWS office at weather.gov.

This isn't what we mean about regular flow of traffic🥤

Our crews are working to clean up after a semi truck collided with a guardrail and fell into a ditch, losing its load of Poppi soda.

Tell a friend that we've still got the right lanes closed while crews work on this clean up and repair.

Denver: Stopped launching balloons in 2022 because of helium shortages

Tallahassee: Stopped launching balloons in 2024 because of helium shortages

Kotzebue, Albany, and Gray: Weather balloons stopped in March 2024 because of staffing shortages.
More fallout from the indiscriminate NWS firings:

"Effective immediately, and until further notice, the [NWS] is temporarily suspending some weather balloon launches in Albany, New York, and Gray, Maine, due to a lack of Weather Forecast Office (WFO) staffing."
