If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

This fool is going to lead us into a new world war because he never got a trophy. The man is mentally ill and needs to be removed from office before it happens. 25th Amendment this bloke.

So, question to the void: Can Minnesota State Prosecutors collect evidence for the murder of Ms Good, interview and record witness statements, perform forensics, etc... and then pass that on to the DoJ when the next President is elected (assuming 49 doesn't preemptively pardon the murderer)?

Annual gripe about parking. They've increased parking by almost 11% to virtually $4000 per year for 2026 for staff based where I park. It's maddening 😡
It's time for my annual gripe about parking cost inequity amongst staff at my institution.

$3580/yr to park where I park, as my building is in the CBD
$630/yr for staff who work at the main campus

I have children with physical disabilities who need to be dropped off to school in the morning.

How many other major industries would get away with crap like this?
Lobster fishery off Bruny Island in TAS closed on eve of the opening of fishing season due to antibiotic use by the salmon farms.
No indication of how long for. Must be a devastating blow for fishermen approaching Xmas.

Astounded given the demand for aged care, particularly nursing homes, is about to ⬆️ sig. in Tasmania. Over the next 15 yrs, the no. ppl aged 85+ will ⬆️ 106% and we will not have sufficient workforce to provide the level of care needed to ‘age in place’. #politas www.themercury.com.au/news/tasmani...

I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage.
This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country.

For students: how can we quantify neurodegeneration using #microscopy? One way is to use a marker like 🟡 below (SMI32). It identifies a population of pyramidal neurons that is lost early in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer and Parkinson. And after some viral infections 👀👀

The mulgara must be protected at all costs!
Mini marsupial bounces back from the brink!

Once listed as Endangered, the crest-tailed mulgara expanded its range by more than 48,000 km² between 2015 and 2021, lifting its status to Least Concern. Biocontrol contributed to the heartwarming bounce-back.
