Hello Sky, I just arrived here and look forward to connecting again with the many TTRPG creators and fans I lost when I left Twitter months ago. #TTRPG and video game enthusiast, connoisseur of VTTs. I love the indies. D&D, not so much, except BG3. Also, sometimes publish on chaosmeister.itch.io .

It's real. I actually love to roll dice. But I prefer games that clearly say "Just roll when dramatic situation X", for the way they are written and designed. Most games that work well with more rolling are way too heavy and complex for me. I still love the G in #ttrpg
Dice when?
That probably sums up many challenges people have with learning different TTRPGs. They either reach for the dice too much or they avoid them like the plague.
In fact, they find some way of #ttrpg playing that's on either side of this spectrum and cling to that, no matter the game.

I am in the middle of an ADHD diagnosis process and reflecting on some memories the questions asked have unlocked in my brain, damn is it weird I hope I have ADHD? Just to have an answer for so much stuff in my life and hopefully then be able to find ways to better cope with them.

Outgunned is my fav game and has replaced Savage Worlds as my genre neutral go to. OG is truly Fast Furious Fun, with gameplay centered around theatre of the mind, a fun risk/reward push mechanic, and a cinematic style in the literal sense, i.e. written by film peeps to emulate action films. #ttrpg

Someone made John Wick themed hack of Boundless (my free D6-based soulslike OSR tabletop rpg) and it looks amazing.
Their mission generator is on point and they used the Boundless Pool as a way to track ammos in weapons which is great.
And, their game is free!
