It's here! The latest edition of Indie Bites and the return of Professor Clarkfowler herself!
At one point the presenter literally went "Now, your accountants will come asking about this at your fiscal year end" and I'm like... yes, I do come asking myself for this data at fiscal year end. Probably an indicator that our separation of duties could be more robust.
I am in a training session for work and have the sinking suspicion that this particular facet of my job isn't normally done by the accountants

My master shower is getting replaced tomorrow so I had to clear out my bedroom (it wasn't technically necessary, but washing my duvet to get the dust off is a chore) and my cats are thoroughly displeased that their stuff is gone.

I work hard on my books and their covers and they may not be perfect but I made them and I am a proud AI hater

I will never use AI for my covers, editing, translation, or anything else. It is not only useless to me as an author, it is actively hostile and harms every skill related to book production.
If you're an author against AI used to generate writing, you better back everyone else in the chain too.
