When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.

Jury nullification is still a thing.
They're going to try to put this woman in federal prison for 50 years, and she probably knew that going in.

But jury nullification is still a thing.
KMBC: "A woman tried to set a fire at a South Kansas City warehouse that had been rumored as a possible ICE detention center. Earlier today, the company that owns the property confirmed it is no longer moving forward with a sale to the U.S. government."

We were legally unable to provide in-person tuition for long periods during the pandemic. We worked our arses off in absurd conditions. But because our thick-as-mince-and-just-as-venal bosses embraced the most insane funding arrangement in the world they’ll now get sued and we’ll pay the price.

Members care deeply about the values of trade unionism, we must now uphold those values. The victimisation of @uniteucu.bsky.social reps must end. Ditto the bullying & threatening of members with ucu policies if they dare to speak out. Authoritarianism has no place in a union. 2/3
