It used to be you would task one friend to be the person to come to your place and clear out your porn and drugs if you died unexpectedly. Now you have to have them be in charge of setting up your memorial GoFundMe as well.

This is a stupendously bad idea. An AI with an inclination to “yes, and” questions posed to is going to lead users into thinking they have medical problems that they do not have.

Wow.
Tonight I watched a forgotten horror film from 1977 that featured the screen debut of Sexy Young Stephen Tobolowsky (playing a nubile young stable boy), and I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it.

I do not need to see what anyone is saying about anything on X. Not about today's events, or yesterday's, or tomorrow's. Left it behind for a reason, don't need to be updated here.

what this should make clear to everyone in this country is that it does not matter who you are, there's no "it could never happen to me"

you can be a white woman who drives around with stuffed animals in her car, and they will still kill you in cold blood and call you a domestic terrorist
The murdered woman's glove compartment is filled with stuffed animals.

This is a good reminder that there is nothing these washed-out, gym class bullies hate more than not being listened to.

This is in no way victim blaming.

I looked at this and thought, “Despite what was said, she is not unattractive.” And then I realized this is the Holbein portrait that led Henry VIII to believe she was not unattractive.

Got us again, Holbein.

Chuck Schumer’s Ridiculous Strategy For Trump’s Illegal War: Hope Republicans Come To Their Senses
I've criticized Chuck Schumer plenty over the years, generally for being bad on tech policy, but also for not understanding the moment we’re living through. Yes, he’s the leader of a minority party with zero power, but that doesn’t mean he’s powerless. Yet he acts as if he is. And if he can't figure that out, it's time for someone else to do it.

Finally! After millennia of not knowing how to find music to listen to, or the people that make music, we will have a way to discover music. The tyranny of the half-dozen music makers and one genre is over! Hurrah!!

Just a reminder that George Conway is not fundraising right now to run against a MAGA republican.

He is fundraising to run against progressive Democrats.

I know the Senate/House GOP are cowards, huddling afraid in the corner, but AT THE VERY LEAST they could insist on controlling this $$$ to use for pork barrel projects in their own states. C’mon guys, at least be venal!
Trump: “I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America. This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President”

Went to the movies last week (saw Marty Supreme--good!)for the first time in a year and holy moses was the pre-movie sound (entertainment show, adverts, previews) so goddamned LOUD. I actually leaned over to the wife and kid and said, "I sound like an old man, but why is it so loud?"
