“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.”

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.

“According to a recent Harvard Business School meta-analysis of 18 studies, women have 22% lower odds of using generative AI websites and apps than men, both at work & in everyday life. And this pattern holds across countries, sectors, occupations, & tools.”

It’s weird to me how the approach to homeschooling seems to be the right arguing that the government has no right to interfere with parental rights, versus the left, which is arguing that homeschooling should be illegal. No one seems terribly interested in basic regulation.

Family loves arguing, but you wish those arguments didn’t become screaming matches? Trial by Trolley (board game) safely relocates these arguments from the field of values to arbitrary-debate-land. My family’s Christmas was greatly improved.

No one says to legit business owners, "hey I see there's an underground market selling toxic knock-offs of your product: how will you incorporate the toxic product AND protect your customers against its harms?" But apparently it's fine to make this suggestion to educators with respect to AI.

Wait until the billionaires start using AI to cancel people on purpose. The mob is the only thing they haven’t previously had complete control of. Don’t give it to them.
New from me: The storied fiddler Ashley MacIsaac wanted to play a show at a Nova Scotia First Nation. It got cancelled because Google's AI search summary incorrectly called him a sex offender. Now he's worried for his safety www.theglobeandmail.com/culture/arti...

I want people who want to get rid of guns to prepare for the fact that while mass killings may go down, some of these fools will either start making bombs or join the police. Because the culture of entitlement and bigotry and rage will not be impacted. Incitement culture must be stopped.

I can’t believe this must be said, but solar geoengineering is a terrible plan. Even if it weren’t likely to have disastrous effects (it is), letting corporate overlords decide how much sunlight reaches our planet should be an obvious red flag.

The phrase "birthing person" is used because 9 year olds get pregnant, and the people who have to deal with this happening don't want to refer to 9 year olds as "women."

The people who impregnate 9 year olds, are the only ones upset with calling them "birthing people" and not "women"
