I've thought a lot about community disconnectedness and in particular the decline of participation in intergenerational communities in recent years. This piece considers the nihilism at the core of ever more individualistic ways of being through an exploration of the writings of mass murderers.
Good backgrounder diving into this extremely weird Internet discourse on antinatalism and “efilism”:

School board (and hospital system!) deficits are a provincial defunding problem! www.thetrillium.ca/news/educati...

Callandra pointing to the sunshine list as indicative of excessive Board spending seems pretty telltale to me. Ontario PCs want everyone to budget like it's 1996 in a 2025 world.
As Ford government takes aim at school boards, data show funding has declined
TDSB’s deficit would be erased if funding had kept up with inflation

A lot of Americans don't know this, but the winner of the Canadian election will be required live in a small cottage located in the backyard of the palace where the viceroy to the King of England lives.

The cottage just recently got a new wifi router, which was very exciting for all Canadians.

@browncbc.bsky.social I can't with this Conservative guy in your 8:10 slot - a government focus on intraprovincial trade, which he admits would fully blunt the impact of tarrifs, is "taking their eye off the ball" and instead the path forward is to meet Trump's demands? Come onnnnn!

Exactly how many Premiers, other than Doug Ford, are calling a snap election in the midst of the Trump crisis because they need a new “mandate”? Also, how many Premiers are trying to get ahead of the results of an RCMP criminal investigation into their government? Just curious.
