it's amazing the amount of time and effort Democrats spend painstakingly critiquing their messaging while Trump just fires from the hip while his brain leaks out of his ears and it's good enough for 312 electoral votes and winning control of the entire federal government

Media, could you take a moment away from the Epstein Files to report on Camp Mystic’s successful appeals to remove some of their buildings from floodplain maps?

Some of MAGA don’t care, some of them don’t even know because Fox News doesn’t tell them. @thedemcoalition.bsky.social Can you put this on billboards in red states please?
It was all a lie, MAGA.

Prices have not come down. Your tips and overtime are still taxed. No trade deals have been made. No wars ended. No Epstein list published. Trump lied about everything.

And he just built a concentration camp. How is everyone not in the streets? We are sleepwalking into fascism.
ICE just became the highest-funded law enforcement agency in the entire country.

There’s no telling what Trump is planning to unleash now.

Profiting from concentration camps.
"Right now, 90% of people in immigration detention are in a facility operated by a private detention corporation. GEO Group and CoreCivic are the two main corporations, and we’ve heard from their earnings calls that they’re very excited about getting more money & expand detention."
How the GOP Megabill Would Turbocharge Local Immigration Enforcement - Bolts
Congress is poised to pour tens of billions of dollars into more immigration detention, private jails, and border operations, plus new ICE partnerships with local police and sheriffs.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

Oh and the Beastie Boys make an appearance.

My sense is that bookending a day in which millions peacefully protested w an assassination on one end and a cop riot & failed military parade on the other made No Kings Day much worse for the fascists than it otherwise would have been. They showed us the stakes, then showed us how weak they are

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Ukraine is going to save us all from Russia. They are so brave and determined. They are saving themselves, yes, but if they lose, the world loses too.

The world owes them so much gratitude and admiration.

The degree to which Trump is groveling before Putin begging for his approval while Putin regularly humiliates Trump is the real pee tape, a form of egregious geopolitical spouse abuse and a sad, sick replay of Trump’s dysfunctional childhood.

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.

It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

JFC. WE ARE STILL WORSE OFF. We still have *at least* 10% global tariffs. Businesses can’t make decisions, as they don’t know what tariffs will be 90 days from now
I usually say Trump is great at repackaging the status quo as victory but this is significantly worse than pre-Liberation Day status quo

Shame on you @columbiauniversity.bsky.social
Any institutions that want federal funding or don’t want to be blackballed are utterly failing their workers and students.
Columbia University grad student whose ‘self-deportation’ was celebrated by DHS explains how she was hounded by ICE—despite ‘legal’ status and lack of involvement with encampment—and utterly abandoned to her fate by the university.

The HHS rule banning trans care from many ACA plans is open for public comment now. Only 3 comments so far.

Embarrassing how the media is completely ignoring this. There's likely over 200,000 trans people on ACA plans (1% of 24 million)
