Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

We are going to build a bigger better library and I can’t wait! Thanks #A2council and to all the folks who answered doors to talk, helped us make this a reality, and the voters!

Wonderful thread about the power of a landmark downtown library. #a2council
i spent so much time in public libraries growing up and that fostered a deep and abiding love for them. i was recently in boston for a conference and visited the central location in copley square for the first time. a brief thread 🧵

Here's my thought on Ann Arbor's PropS A and B: @aadl.org is amazing. 2x the AADL is at least 2x as good, probably more. So vote yes on Props A and B if you are an Ann Arbor voter please. #a2Council

Real live good news: Cook County, Illinois, passed a budget with $2 million in grants for abortion funds and practical support organizations. Those groups and clinics are struggling in the wake of funding cuts from national pro-choice groups in July

People have always had abortions and they always will. Despite setbacks (and yes, there are MANY, I won't lie), there remains a beautiful, aboveground system of funding and practical support for abortion. Experienced folks can and will help you get an abortion if you need them. It is not illegal!
