This is also how I feel about it. We aren't living through a moment where we can depend on any accountability mechanisms that may have ever existed in the first place (which they may not have tbh)
i'll be honest i find the epstien stuff similar to the "constitutional crisis" stuff. like, it just seems rooted in the wrong idea that there are actual mechanisms of accountability that will just automatically kick into effect if certain facts "come to light"

As a swatting survivor I can tell you that you can wind up with PTSD even without a single shot being fired.
I'm lucky that I was able to access the support in the days and also years after that experience. I've processed it in a big way but I can't say I'm the same person I was beforehand.
