Meanwhile, the entire time I was in therapy, I was literally living UNDER the poverty line, and living under the poverty line was the only reason I qualified for the county program that paid for my therapy.
If anything tonight, being in therapy from 2009 to 2015, might be the funniest reason I've ever been given that I am not working class.

Good news, Josh Shapiro actually did something good for a change, and made sure that residents in PA got their SNAP benefits. I was surprised when I went to get bread and milk today and my receipt said I had $485 left.

In case you're wondering how this will impact people with disabilities...Mercy and I pay $1600 per month for our health insurance BEFORE any increases and it *still* doesn't cover all of my Crohn's meds and procedures.

Fuck you Chuck. Losing my healthcare is a potential death sentence for those of us with diabetes. You suck, you should fucking resign you spineless fucking shitbag.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Like many others, I am diabetic, and losing my health insurance because of this bullshit could be a potential death sentence.

Every Democrat should be primaried, but ESPECIALLY any of them that vote YES on this bullshit agreement.

Both my fridge and my pantry are getting dangerously low on supplies. Normally I would have gone shopping a few days ago, but not having my SNAP benefits meant that I haven't been able to get any groceries yet this month.

Everything that has happened in the last year is a direct result of Biden insisting on running for President again.
Biden sank this country but Chuck just pulled it back underwater as it was trying to gasp for one last breath of air

I have a smaller ask because after being unemployed for about 2 months, catching up on important bills and my kid's birthday, I'm basically wiped out.

So just looking for $40 to cover gas costs for most this week. Going to try to do some dashing mon/tues too.

You’re all a bunch of Nazi tattoo forgiving, Jewish space lasers forgetting gullible marks getting played for fools

As a Jew I suggest you all go fuck yourselves.

Turns out that Ben Shapiro doesn't like white supremacy when he doesn't directly benefit from it.

Landlords aren't people. Neither are billionaires and monarchs.

Personally, I'm a big fan of "landlords aren't people". They can become people again by stopping being landlords though.

Good things landlords aren't people, so violence against them isn't immoral.

Crybaby Millionaire Kevin O'Leary on Fox News: "How are landlords gonna afford to to be landlords now?"

Me, an intellectual: "Get a fucking job like everyone else, you lazy parasites."

Interesting that the human embodiment of wonder bread smothered in mayo, didn't mention that Zohran Mamdani also won his election for mayor in NYC.
New Jersey and Virginia have chosen well by electing
@mikiesherrill.bsky.social and @spanbergerforva.bsky.social as their next governors!

They are proven leaders who won by focusing on what matters most - how politics and policy can make everyday life better and more affordable.

Friends— here it is. Updated & expanded thanks to the space afforded to me in the @therumpus.net & the guidance of the brilliant @roxanegay.bsky.social’s edits. The win centers Muslims humanity — but what does that mean in a country that rejects that?

I am so upset.

Last week Time Magazine solicited a piece from me on Zohran Mamdani & anti-Muslim hate. I pitched a framing re the dehumanization of Muslims & how Mamdani’s inclusive, socialist campaign in its content resists that. They agreed. I wrote the piece. 1/
To be asked to write about racism only to be racially aggressed in the editing process is a new level unlocked I have to say.

Mamdani going so hard for trans right and winning is some juicy proof that every dem that abandoned us didn’t do it for politically advantageous reasons. They did it because they’re transphobes and they will lose for it

My grandma has a broken wrist, but other than that she is fine.
My grandma went outside to grab the mail, ended up falling, hurting her wrist and hitting her head. At the ER with her now, hoping nothing major.

the NYT employed Pamela Paul for years to write anti-trans pieces. do not talk to anyone from the NYT. do not talk to any journalist about this, period. no exceptions.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.
