More data showing that 85%+ of accounts just read/lurk. This is important because it means that very active fake accounts (often hundreds of accounts controlled by one person or organization) can easily dominate conversations, creating the illusion of consensus or popularity. 1/2
Despite initial bursts and declines in total and average activity, Bluesky achieved a stable level of daily engagement, with around 15% active users after the US Elections, matching inactivity rates on X/Twitter (~85% lurkers).

#BadActorBingo heads up: it looks like there's a tool out there that people had previously authorized on their accounts that has now been compromised and is being used for malicious purposes.
