@deepnotshallow.bsky.social This seems like an idea that is right up your alley!
The Dems should invent a board game where voters get their donor lists and a list of predators from the Epstein files and see how many matches they can make. Voters can play it on the kitchen table so it's a "kitchen-table issue".
I cannot stress enough this is a totally made up conundrum and you do not actually need to field test if talking about how our entire government is controlled by child rapists is interesting.

When Johnston had transition team heads do listening sessions out in the community, Benavidez was at one of the meetings I attended. She was so dismissive of me when I tried to (briefly) engage with her. She looked over my shoulder the whole time to see who else she could talk to. 🤣😂🤣
UPDATE:
Lorena Garcia and Manny Rutinel are supporting former State Rep. Adrienne Benavidez for the State Senate Vacancy.

By my count this vacancy is maybe 40 people total.

Adrienne will most likely win with little to no competition.

BREAKING:
Colorado State Senator Dafna Michaelson Jenet is set to resign next week setting up yet another vacancy committee for her replacement.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

As a literature educator, for me, poetry begins and ends with Audre Lorde. Every student I have has read “Poetry is not a Luxury.” “Litany for Survival” is the poem that reminds us Who and Whose we are, because we were never meant to survive.

Another classic post-Homan day where around school dismissal time we get a flurry of ICE vehicles all across our neighborhoods. Today one vehicle led an observer to their own home and pointed at it. This is a sick game to them, but we won’t be intimidated and we won’t stop until DHS is abolished.

In @colorado.gov Jared Polis knows the law and knows Coloradans don’t want cooperation with ICE, but he doesn’t care. A whistleblower had to come forward because he was (and likely still is) surreptitiously cooperating with that disgusting and brutal agency.

ABOLISH ICE & FUCK ICE

If your elected leaders think Trump's Gestapo can be "reformed" then they are wholly unequipped for this moment and must be primaried.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

The number of people currently in ICE custody is now over 73,000, the most in history.

Your reminder that ICE is a for-profit industry and the companies profiting are huge donors to the politicians who voted to continue funding ICE.

I feel like Los Angeles is a place where people expect ICE to happen because the kidnappings have been happening to my home city for decades, so there’s less media attention to it now. and I want folks to see that in LA, Latine students are organizing major protests & the police are attacking them

By the way, for those of you not in MN: Homan’s strategy was to withdraw some agents, so it felt like we were in the denouement of the crisis, and then escalate hard against observers. They’re being incredibly aggressive with observers now. National media may not want to check out just yet
