Welcome to my little corner of Bluesky. I like my space nice and cozy with a side of spice. ✌🏻💜🤘🏻
Sometimes it’s interesting to remind certain groups of people that Charles Manson was charismatic, Ted Bundy was handsome, and John Wayne Gacy was an upstanding citizen. Oh, and all of them were narcissists.

When I’m feeling a little down I just remember that I’m not a miserable loser like the person currently occupying the White House. That makes me feel better.

Snakes are not my favorite animal, but I do love this video.
From @acyn.bsky.social (posted on X)

"Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake."

I made a little comic celebrating something nice in the world that my family loves. It can also serve as a recommendation for those of you who are (or are considering becoming) parents. Finding joy where you can is a survival skill in bizarre and awful times. I ‘ll fix the typos (I just noticed!)

Well, this should probably be shared a lot.

So much good can be done if we just take the time to look at where we can use vacant buildings and make them useful again.

Good things are happening.
It’s a terrible time, but we’re still scoring some wins. Check out a few of the great things that happened while we were focussed on the chaos last week! GOOD NEWS HELPS KEEP US GOING! 🎈🎈🎈

Something not getting enough attention: The owner of the New York Giants, the Commanders’ majority owner, and the owner of the New England Patriots all have something in common.

They’re in the Epstein files

Need to celebrate the small wins. This makes me happy that these two are back home with their family.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Anyone else beginning to think that this administration just comes up with egregiously stupid things to cover up for the last egregiously stupid thing they did? There is no plan, only stupidity.

Need to talking about this too right now.
Between Pam Bondi's ransom note to Tim Walz and the FBI raid in Fulton County yesterday, we are watching the entire federal law enforcement apparatus reorganize itself around the work of legitimizing Trump's demented stolen election conspiracy theories. Nasty, nasty work.
Pam Bondi Tries to Use Alex Pretti’s Murder to Push Trump’s Stolen Election Lies
Her demand that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz turn over the state’s voter rolls is effectively a ransom note printed on Justice Department letterhead.

I hope Georgia sues to get their ballots back like trump sued to get his classified documents back. But I think Georgia would win.

Apparently we need to have the stranger danger conversation again.
Speaking of children not being able to walk to school, ICE agents are snatching kids off the streets of Minneapolis (and St. Paul!) and parents are having to form patrols to guard against kids getting abducted at pick-up and drop-off.
Gov. Landry: "I like to ask Democrats if they like their communities to be dangerous or safe. Do they want their children to be able to walk to school or do they want to worry if they send them on the sidewalks, that unfortunate violent things are going to happen to them?"

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

Call me crazy, but I kind of feel like we should be saying more about the fact that a man that was part of a child trafficking ring and is a predator, is trafficking children to detention centers that no one is allowed into.

I had the opportunity to see Walz speak in person and he did not disappoint. A true public servant to the people. Not only that, he is also snappy with the comebacks.
Reporter: You received a letter from AG Pam Bondi making several demands….

Walz: I would just give a pro tip to the AG. There's 2 million documents in the Epstein files we're still waiting on. Go ahead and work on those

Hey, we kidnapped your kid, groomed him, and then used him as bait so we could traffic him, and you, to Texas, but it’s your fault.
ICE spokesperson Marcos Charles: "My officers stayed with the child. They cared for him. Took him to get something to eat from a drive-thru restaurant and spent hours ensuring he was taken care of. Again, my officers did that, not his father ... his family refused to open the door and take him back"

All that drama for nothing.

After a sweeping, Republican-led review of more than 2 million voter registrations, Utah election officials identified just one apparent noncitizen in their voter rolls — who never voted. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Utah reviewed its voter rolls for noncitizens. It found one. Who never voted
The results sharply undercut the narrative of widespread noncitizen voting Republicans are using to promote new nationwide restrictions on voting.

Idea #2. Consistently state how sick of all the drama queen nonsense coming from this administration. Examples, ‘Why is the president such a drama queen all the time?’ or ‘Really could do without all their drama queen BS.’ Psychological manipulation is being used on us, we can flip it right back.
Sometimes I have good ideas, at least I like to think they are, about some good trouble for these times. Unfortunately, sharing them with my audience of about two to three people doesn’t really do much. 😖

Idea #1, because why not. Instead of engaging with trolls, just reply ‘fake news’ to everything they say. Sometimes it works to return the pettiness. Plus it may catch them off guard. One can even use phrases like ‘How cute is your fake news?’ or ‘Look at you and your fake news.’
