Reuters identified 4,421 cases since October in which more than 400 federal judges ruled that the Trump administration had detained immigrants unlawfully as part of its mass deportation campaign.

That's almost certainly an undercount, and many cases are ongoing.

A much-needed reminder that wars are not just guns. They're policy, and policy is far more lethal than guns. This is deliberate planned mass murder.
Per the ImpactCounter dashboard, approximately 88 people an hour are now dying as a result of Vought and Musk’s murder of USAID.

They must be brought to justice.

I suggest "rich psychopaths" rather than "rich corporations".
Regulations are what keeps ordinary Americans healthy and, often, alive.

It took spoiled meat and rodent droppings out of our food. It took harmful lead out of our gasoline and paint. It took poison out of our water.

Deregulation only achieves one goal: making rich corporations richer.

The New York Times just launched a new "newsletter about the law and the courts." They are calling it "The Docket."

The Times may not care that Democracy Docket has been publishing "On the Docket" and "Daily Docket" for years, but I believe our 400,000 subscribers might.

More on this tomorrow.

Epstein survivor Haley Robson: I’m so tired of having this administration just completely dismiss us. They’re supposed to be the party of, you know, family values and protecting children. And I just feel like if that’s the party you are, it seems like Thomas Massie is the only one showing up for it.

NEW @ms.now: The lawyer representing the woman who was shot 5x by a Border Patrol agent in Chicago in Oct says the agent is the subject of a criminal investigation by the US Attorneys Office. This would be a remarkable shift in a case that started w/ the gov’t trying to prosecute the woman he shot ⬇️

Voting is about representation, not worthiness.
If the government can take away your voting rights for a felony conviction, and they also decide what constitutes a felony, and they also decide who’s charged with the felony, and they also decide who’s prosecuted for the felony, you don’t have a right to vote.
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger endorsed a constitutional amendment to automatically restore voting rights to people with felony convictions when they leave prison. State lawmakers passed the amendment and it will now appear on the state ballot.

Well said!
Invoking wealthy class solidarity to excuse sex crimes against children is sorta the Epstein Class in a nutshell
Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."

We need way more Dem fireworks. This is great.
Raskin has actually gotten a look at some of the unredacted files and so understands in a way we don't the way Bondi's DOJ redacted them in contradiction of the law -- protecting men who exploited these women and kids while exposing victims' identities
Rep. Raskin: “You ignored the law and even with over 100,000 employees at your disposal, you acted with some mixture of staggering incompetence, cold indifference, and jaded cruelty towards more than 1,000 victims raped, abused, and trafficked. This performance screams cover-up.”

Now that members of Congress are able to see what was redacted they are learning how Todd Blanche failed to comply with the law in countless instances, and it’s now about to get real because what DOJ was hiding is the most incriminating stuff.

Hey word nerds, let's play. Thinking how we react to different word choices, like "ravine". A nice word. But when you choose "chasm" instead it sounds dangerous.

Same for "meadow" or "prairie". Prairie is more evocative, but still plain. Call it a "wold" and suddenly it's exotic and possibly scary.
