Research shows that ‘Long-unburnt snow gum forests (now) comprise ~1% of snow gum forests in the Alps’. The forests that our parents knew are now largely gone.

It’s strange how quickly this calamitous state of affairs has become ‘normal’.

Stonepeak is a private equity firm founded by two Australian billionaires, Michael Dorrell and Trent Vichie.

Dorrell owns the only private island in Palm Beach, Florida.

Vichie’s company, Everwind Fuels, claims to be a developing “green” energy alternatives.

Now they’re human traffickers.
This ICE removal operated by Omni Air International is now making its second stop, in Sri Lanka. So far, migrants onboard have spent 34 hours in handcuffs, leg irons and a waist chain. There may be more stops.

Omni and its parent company were purchased in April by private equity firm Stonepeak.

#kakapo breeding starts with the feeding. For the last month we've been putting out food on Whenua Hou to get the adults into breeding condition. We need the males fat enough to boom and the females heavy enough to produce eggs (although not too hefty or their chicks will all be males). #parrots

1/4 Powerful Owlet rescue! This morning I was checking in on one of the Owlets that one of my "spies" told me had come out of the hollow last night, and I found it on the road!!! Luckily there were no cars, or off-leash dogs in the nearby park.
