As someone who is this guy's age I can tell you 100% that if you were into Pixies, Nirvana, 120 Minutes stuff, etc. but didn't like the Beatles you had to have worked hard to contort yourself into that special little box. Your enemy, if you absolutely needed one, was hair metal. GTFO here with this.

Made the gingerbread version, but the shortbread is unexpectedly more of a blondie with this recipe. 🍽️

Finally gave millionaire's shortbread a try to see if I could pull it off. It's messy but tastes quite good. This holiday season, I'll be making a gingerbread version. 🍽️

Surprise! Turns out the five people you meet in heaven are all Edward Ka-Spel, and he just wants to smoke a bowl and talk about Fairport Convention.

I do not want the video. I will never watch the video. I usually won’t even give the video the effort of complaint.

I just want to read the news story. Give me the text. This would be my Ted Talk but that would be text too.

Oof. Rolling Stone dot com about to find out how many people were mostly subscribing for Alan Sepinwall.
I know nothing about Rolling Stone and its management, but Alan Sepinwall is the smartest, hardest working TV critic working today. His work has elevated the medium. I don't watch a show without checking to see what he thought of it, before or after.
Rolling Stone fired Alan Sepinwall, Status’ Oliver Darcy reports. That’s probably the end of my subscription.

A thought I keep returning to — and that’s underscored by today’s news — is that a legacy publication or a deep-pocketed investor could hire an astonishing array of talent right now and make the best newspaper in America overnight.
Well, this is fucked up and depressing.
