Pretty sure this is universal in many states. As a born and bred Kentuckian from Louisville, they hate Louisville and Lexington and I can't quite put my finger on why ....
shit, speaking as a missiouri resident, if theres two places republicans despise in this state its Kansas City and St Louis

Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

But who needs regulation when we can just let babies get sick a whole lot and then maybe the market will figure it out?
ByHeart, the company linked to a botulism outbreak in infants, shut down one of its manufacturing plants this year after federal investigators found a series of safety violations, including a leaking roof and hundreds of dead bugs where infant formula was produced.

When you put it that way it almost sounds refined to dodge anti money laundering rules so you can bribe politicians / traffic children / fund terrorism or whatever else those anonymized and encrypted $500 million might do.

I think we should oppose the cave on moral grounds - no ACA subsidy is bad, obviously - while understanding that there is also no way out of the self-dug grave for the GOP.
I'm basically stealing this idea from another poster but it's kind of interesting that a "Dem Cave" at this point would mean "the GOP is allowed to continue, unfettered, on a political course that is driving down their approvals to apocalyptic levels and increasing their odds of death by angry mob"

If I were @schumer.senate.gov, I would not agree to help Republicans fund this regime on the "promise" of an ACA vote at a later date. It didn't work the last time when they promised to fund DC. It won't work this time either. The House won't touch it.

I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

RE the Foudy & Wambach clip, I really agree that we need to be open to having difficult conversations & accepting that we won’t always get it right, but we have to try. I had a chat w/ someone in my life about this situation & kept finding myself getting emotional, but I kept going, b/c it matters.
