I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Federal Appeals Court votes 2-1 to halt NC ballot curing efforts while Riggs-Griffin case is litigated.

For now, letters will not be sent to the 1400 people whose ballot might have otherwise been cured.

A bit of good news:

In a 2-1 vote, NC judges have ruled AGAINST the SB 382 power grab. That bill, passed post-election, sought to strip the (D) Governor of his right to appoint members to the State Board of Elections. They sought, inexplicably, to instead hand that power to the (R) Auditor. #ncpol
🚨🚨 BREAKING: An NC three judge panel just affirmed the Governor’s longstanding power to make appointments to the State Board of Elections, declaring the legislature’s power grab unconstitutional.

I volunteered to help at the protest in Raleigh today, estimated 2500-5000 people in Raleigh with an additional thousand or so each in Cary and Durham. We will not be silent while the white male patriarchy tries to destroy our democracy!

Imagine that! In this country people want to feel safe from being “disappeared” off the streets. We are mad and we are loud.

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me
