So the profits of the Canadian grocery monopoly remain intact, publicly funded even? This is much like the food donation bins just past check out, graciously put out by grocery concerns, allowing consumers to buy from them then donate.

It’s wrong that the Finch & Eglinton LRTs don’t have signal priority. Billions of dollars were spent, only for “rapid transit” to go slower than the buses it replaced. Last Spring at Council, I moved for signal priority on these lines. The 2026 budget must fund this priority.

If there was course I wish existed when I was in poli sci undergrad or grad school it would be one called "It's actually stupid". One leaves school thinking the world is smart but it's wiser to operate on the assumption the actors and behavior is stupid.

If there was course I wish existed when I was in poli sci undergrad or grad school it would be one called "It's actually stupid". One leaves school thinking the world is smart but it's wiser to operate on the assumption the actors and behavior is stupid.

I will never stop being amazed how how people twist themselves into knots apologizing not just for acceptable driver behaviour but the entire way we've let their convenience influence design & rules.
