I am interested in neurodivergent theologies and found a bunch of people on here to follow. I decided to turn that into a starter pack. Please suggest additions: i'm sure there are plenty of people I don't know about, plus many others like me joining the current Xodus wave.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Chatted to my great uncle yesterday – a northern, working-class guy, not that political. I told him my job involved exposing Farage.

His first question was: “who funds him?”

Investigations into Farage’s donors can have a major impact on Reform’s support – as this research has already shown 👇
New research reveals the best attack lines to use against Reform
How to stop Farage...

Let’s swap out the fragile, slowly maturing frontal cortexes of society’s teens and replace them with a soulless, sycophantic pattern recognizing machine designed by hubristic, Ayn Rand obsessed simpletons with no historical sensibility, & whose main motivation is profit maximization. This is fine.
Adam Raine’s life hurtled toward tragedy soon after he began talking with ChatGPT about homework. Analysis of his ChatGPT account shows how the chatbot became a confidant as he planned to end his life.

Solidarity to @northumbriauni.bsky.social staff, told they must move to a pension scheme widely considered worse or face a pay freeze (against UK-wide bargaining). United as unions, they can beat it (& deter other employers from trying similar). Post those ballots, & join if you’re not a member!
The only thing cooler than this post box? Posting your vote in the @ucunorthumbria.bsky.social local ballot to stop a pay freeze @northumbriauni.bsky.social!

The only cancelling happening in relation to Reform at Christmas is that if the Word was incarnated again, Reform (Christians or otherwise) and other idolaters of nation or mammon would be crucifying them again. Matthew 25:31-46 suggests they already are. 🧵 1/
And it looks to have been every bit as fatuous as you might expect. I especially liked the disdain for the concept of ethical sourcing. What would Jesus have said, eh? Bah, let's have child labourers make our myrrh? And the hopelessly convoluted idea that Jesus came "to be cancelled in our place".

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Apart from everything else, how out of touch are they with the assumption that only younger people earn less than £41,700, oh and maybe women and disabled people (oh wait that’s already most people so never mind). Meanwhile they explicitly say this discrimination is justified to reduce immigration.
There are some spectacularly misguided "assumptions" in the Home Office's impact assessment on its changes to immigration rules. More than that though, it confirms not only will these changes cost the country billions, they are also discriminatory. 1/

It's a mystery to me why the church isn't taking a moral stand on this. We are in the middle of a #flunami & extreme #WinterPressures. Most churches are drafty buildings with high ceilings & poor attendance: it wouldn't cost much to protect vulnerable people & achieve #CovidConscious certification.
We are still being told to wash our hands for a predominantly airborne virus and our elderly and vulnerable need urgent protection. @churchofengland.org

Or some (despite duties to share info w/ unions) withhold financial info that could confirm such a pattern (available info sure indicates it: eg £108m paid for £51m building county council were desperate to sell, that noone else wouldve bought, to house 1/2 the Business School w/ part-time offices).
They claim financial exigency, but then turn down $4 million pledges to keep the PhD programs open and disregard financial analyses that point to the real problem—bad real estate deals, spending on consultants, and their own salaries 2/2
