I mean it’s this to some extent, but also that many of the people in a position to intervene not only don’t want to intervene, but are in active support of what’s happening.
Seriously, I don't think anyone in a position to intervene knows how to, & I think it's paralyzing them
Consider that the two times Trump was impeached, one of them was because there were multiple whistleblowers with many witnesses, & an internal response that recognized the scandal of the act, & the other was literally people breaking into the Capitol at his urging. We cannot hope for either cue now.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

I know this is going to sound naive or earnest, but I genuinely find myself shocked by how little people seem to be upset by the levels of corruption we're seeing. Is that the median voter assumes everyone is corrupt already? Or isn't actually getting stories about the corruption?
