I don't know. I think this guy was the one to blame.
I have a firm belief that there are certain things that, when said or claimed, automatically demonstrates that the speaker is not what is uttered.
Example: Saying "I'm modest" shows you're not.
Or using the word "classy" shows that the speaker lacks class.
Add "maximum alpha" to the list.

*maximum alpha at 1.25x speed* continuously lives on in my head, unfortunately.

Yes, the article is wrong on a number of things.
The FCC has never licensed or regulated cable channels. Nor can they under the First Amendment.
If the Doctrine had not been repealed, it could never have been applied to cable channels.
Or social media sitese, newspapers, etc.

The dramatic repudiation of Trump this week wrecks a number of absurd narratives the media has pushed lately. In the runup to the election, NYT pieces kept telling us Dems were overly obsessed with attacking Trump.

Trump Humiliation Worsens as Fresh Info Reveals Scale of GOP Losses
The results showed that Democrats don’t have to choose between attacking Trump and highlighting the economy. In fact, they are often inseparable.

Whenever anyone cites the example of the journalistic ethics of people like Walter Cronkite in an argument why the Fairness Doctrine should be reinstated, remind them that Cronkite was against the FCC regulation of content on broadcast TV.

If I had to guess right now (and it is premature!) I'd say the Supreme Court is going to strike down Trump's tariffs.
All three liberals are clearly against the government. Barrett too. Roberts leaning that way. And we haven't even gotten to tax-hater Gorsuch yet.

Well, except that the "loneliness epidemic" is often spurred by the desire for a trad-wife.
The solution to the male loneliness epidemic is attending a local Democratic Party canvassing event.
WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Creating non-propaganda news isn't enough; if it doesn't have the anger-and-fear based addictiveness of Fox News or X, people will in many cases ignore it. We used to ban propaganda networks (fairness doctrine) but now that they are here, I don't know how we re-bottle the genie.

Regarding the alleged arrest of “the girlfriend of one of the founders of Antifa.”
1) it’s not illegal to date someone.
2) antifa is a leaderless and loosely organized ideology, not a group
3) if antifa did have a founder, I’m pretty sure it would be a 150 year old Italian person.

I mourned for that person that they never witnessed the entertaining, tragic, and provoking pair of G'kar and Londo Mollari.

In light of Pam Bondi's statements today, targeting Dem's speech as "hate speech," this statement is incredibly idiotic.
There's a reason why "hate speech" is protected. It's so corrupt govt's like Trump's cannot use it to target his opponents.
