It's a post about Hong Kong movie legend Michiko Nishiwaki, and they're trying to frame her story like Hong Kong movies being ahead of Hollywood in "Strong female leads" department.

There's a scene in 2014 Calvary where the main character, a priest, is fed up with a local rich asshole who is always complaining about how unhappy he is despite his wealth. So he basically dares him into donating a lot of money to the church like "Well if it won't matter either way..."

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

Watched "Smashing Machine". Aside from Dwayne Johnsons perfomance, which was pretty darn good, I thought this was kind of a nothing movie.
